Emergency Management in San Diego County
20 public agencies from the San Diego region, with support from the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security, have undertaken an ambitious project focusing on integrating Compute Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems from fire and law enforcement departments throughout the region. Our firm has developed a map and GIS-integrated front-end application for this project. The application, which is targeted for use by emergency operations center staff and 1st response managers, provides capabilities to:
- View, search, and filter current incidents and resources based on type, status, area, and owning agency
- Perform collaboratie markup and run “whati if” scenarios to support planning and decision making
- Integrate and view multiple set of external data from DOTs, NOAA, partner agencies, and State and Regional GIS libraries
- Share maps and create reports
- View status conditions, resource utilization and allocation levels and other conditions via dynamic charts.
Technologies:
